Our Guiding Philosophy

Amy and Samantha feel a strong commitment to the arc of the ceremony. In that spirit, they are not simply desiring to bring participants on a “retreat”. Rather, they are offering a peak experience within a longer container, where context is crucial.

Amy and Samantha will open the retreat container three weeks before heading to Mexico. You will be able to meet for two 60-min virtual preparation sessions to foster community and prepare for the medicine work. Moreover, you will be able to meet twice virtually following the retreat to continue the work of integration in a supportive container that invites the incorporation of medicine into your everyday life.

Attending a retreat with Amy and Sam is like having the most remarkable, heart opening, soul nourishing sleepover imaginable. From the moment I arrived, every detail of my stay was planned  perfectly, and I never felt unsure, overwhelmed, or bored. Amy and Sam are adept at creating a safe and loving space where our group of strangers could not only come together as a cohesive, but where we could create real healing with vulnerability, kindness and humor. I adored every second of my time, discovered lifelong friends with the women I met, and plan on attending many other retreats with Sam and Amy in the future!

I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to attend one of Amy’s & Sam’s retreats. It’s clear both are incredibly well-qualified and highly knowledgeable facilitators, with a lot of experience in creating and supporting a safe, inclusive and loving environment for their participants. I felt welcomed, safe, well-supported and authentically connected to each participant in the group when in attendance, and left feeling deeply grateful for the community, growth and spiritual nourishment gained. Would highly recommend any offering these two women offer.

The retreat I attended with Amy and Sam was a heart opening, magical experience. Amy and Sam created a beautiful container for all of us to share authentically and make meaningful connections. They thought of every detail, planned inspiring, original activities, and ensured that each of us had an intimate experience with the events, the land and each other. The grounds, menu, yoga, and guides were excellent, and flowed perfectly with the energy and quality of the retreat. The whole experience was transformative, and we all left on a high. I can’t wait for Amy and Sam’s next retreat!
Your Retreat Leaders

Samantha Morse, PhD

Samantha has learned from sacred plant medicines in ceremonial containers for thirteen years. Her journey to become a facilitator began in 2020 while working with an indigenous medicine woman, who has remained a mentor and dear friend. In addition to this ancestral, earth-based approach to working with medicine, Samantha also graduated from Third Wave’s 6-month Psychedelic Coaching Certification Program, which takes a Western, empirical-scientific approach to understanding and working with medicines.

After these years of practical training, experience, and rigorous study, Samantha began working full-time as a psilocybin facilitator, creating a container that involves multiple sessions of preparation and integration. Samantha works in a 1:1 therapeutic setting for clients experiencing psychological challenges like depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, and OCD. She also works with many clients in the context of transformation — individuals who are not necessarily experiencing dis-ease, but who are wondering, “What’s next?” or trying to revise limiting beliefs, behaviors, or relationships. As a practitioner, Samantha has a deeply tender, nurturing approach and shows great flexibility to “go with the flow” of whatever is coming up in a session or ceremony.

Amy Erber, MSN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC

Amy wasn’t initially interested in healthcare. For as long as she can remember, she has felt most aligned and alive when she is immersed in nature, as opposed to a hospital or clinic. She recalls reading Mark Plotkin’s, Tales of a Shaman’s Apprentice, when she was 18 and resonating deeply with the tenets of plant medicine and ethnobotany. She pursued an undergraduate degree in Ecology and Systematic Biology and spent much of her young adulthood working in wildlife biology and conservation settings nationwide and in Tanzania. Amy served in various women’s service organizations in teen crisis and respite settings, crisis hotlines, and ski programs for individuals with disabilities.

Until 2015, her professional path had been a conventional one that didn't reflect her personal health path and values. In the spirit of integrating her personal and professional beliefs, she left the traditional psychiatric setting in 2015 to work in the field of Functional Medicine before opening her own integrative mental health practice in 2019. For the past three years, she's offered psychedelic-assisted therapy with ketamine, TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) a non-pharmacological modality to target depression, neurofeedback and integrative medication management. She's humbled and inspired by her clients' abilities to tap into their inner healing intelligence and move through chronic issues with courage.

Training:

– Certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Provider and Certified Ketamine Medical Provider Training, Integrative Psychiatry Institute

– MAPS Therapy Training Program, MDMA-Assisted Therapy for PTSD

– Ketamine-Assisted-Psychotherapy Training, Polaris Insight Center

Hello! I'm Holly

Retreat coordinator, magnetizer + healing conduit. I thrive by living in bold magic, with intention + being the ripple in this life.

I've been intentionally creating + holding space for women since 2001 through holistic bodywork, immersive retreats, and events/gatherings. For much of my practice and path (from 2001-2016) I was a holistic bodywork practicioner blending psycho-structural balancing and therapeutic massage with energy work. I studied at IPSB School of Integrative Psycho Structural Bodywork and Massage School of Santa Monica, completing 600+ hours of training. My time at IPSB included sessions in celluar recall therapy under the instruction of Joan Wulfsohn, a student of Carlos Castanada. Joan is one of my favorite teachers/guides to date, her work had a profound affect on my life by helping me access memories and trauma on a cellular level, work with those memories and trauma, and release them for longterm and sustained health and healing. I still work with some of her teachings today.
