Who this retreat is good for;
This exceptional mindfulness retreat will help you to find peace, optimism, and happiness. It's for those in a season of uncertainty—those stuck and wondering what to do next. You're unsure of how to remove the blocks that keep you stuck. You also don't know how to get out of your own way to embark on the path of creativity, joy, and possibility.
Our Guiding Philosophies
Amy and Samantha are committed to cultivating and embodying trust, open-heartedness, dedication to those they serve, curiosity, integrity, and self-awareness. They recognize that there are multiple ways of knowing — not just rational thinking — but also sensing, feeling, and imagining, and they seek to harness all ways of knowing in their interactions with others. Moreover, Amy and Sam inhabit a world where mystery and wonder is at the center, and they hope to kindle this awareness in others too.
Amy and Samantha feel a strong commitment to the arc of ceremony. In that spirit, they are not simply desiring to bring participants on a “retreat”. Rather, they are offering a peak experience within a longer container, where context is crucial.
Amy and Samantha will open the retreat container three weeks before heading to Mexico. You will be able meet for two 60-min virtual preparation sessions to foster community and prepare for the medicine work. Moreover, you will be able to meet twice virtually following the retreat to continue the work of integration in a supportive container that invites the incorporation of medicine into your everyday life.
Intention for Medicine Work
The intention for using the following medicines in the retreat setting is to facilitate a potentially transformative experience that may catalyze deeper change than is possible in one’s home setting. They have both experienced and observed significant personal transformation working with plant medicines and ketamine in retreat settings. They are inspired by the alchemy of sacred land, respectful facilitation, and a loving container to promote actionable and durable change
Ketamine
Amy and Samantha will facilitate a ketamine sounding experience to help you open your energetic channels and activate your voice (inner, outer and intuition) in the spirit of fostering an opening that supports subsequent medicine work.
Historically, sound has been used worldwide as a gateway to the exploration of consciousness. We will begin with breathwork and essential oils formulated to activate each chakra to promote flow of energy in the physical and energetic bodies. Next, we will introduce ketamine using an atomizer (nasal) and engage in an hour-long group singing/sounding exercise. We will sound our way into stored emotions and energetic blockages we hold within our bodies and use sound vibration to release them.
Through this experience, we seek to support you in:
-
Deprogramming negative stories about your voice
-
Exploring the inner, outer, and intuitive voice
-
Embracing the curiosity and mystery of your voice
-
Experiencing sound and melody as medicine
-
Shifting out of “thinking mode” and into sensing
Psilocybin
The intention for using the following medicines in the retreat setting is to facilitate a potentially transformative experience that may catalyze deeper change than is possible in one’s home setting. They have both experienced and observed significant personal transformation working with plant medicines and ketamine in retreat settings. They are inspired by the alchemy of sacred land, respectful facilitation, and a loving container to promote actionable and durable change

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
NAME, TITLE
Shannon Beekman
Attending a retreat with Amy and Sam is like having the most remarkable, heart opening, soul nourishing sleepover imaginable. From the moment I arrived, every detail of my stay was planned out perfectly, and I never felt unsure, overwhelmed, or bored. Amy and Sam are adept at creating a safe and loving container where our group of strangers could not only come together as a cohesive unit almost immediately, but where we could create real healing with vulnerability, kindness and humor. I adored every second of my time on the retreat, discovered lifelong friends with the women I met, and plan on attending many other retreats with Sam and Amy in the future!

I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to attend one of Amy’s & Sam’s retreats. It’s clear both are incredibly well-qualified and highly knowledgeable facilitators, with a lot of experience in creating and supporting a safe, inclusive and loving environment for their participants. I felt welcomed, safe, well-supported and authentically connected to each participant in the group when in attendance, and left feeling deeply grateful for the community, growth and spiritual nourishment gained. Would highly recommend any offering these two women offer.

The retreat I attended with Amy and Sam was a heart opening, magical experience. Amy and Sam created a beautiful container for all of us to share authentically and make meaningful connections. They thought of every detail, planned inspiring, original activities, and ensured that each of us had an intimate experience with the events, the land and each other. The grounds, menu, yoga, and guides were excellent, and flowed perfectly with the energy and quality of the retreat. The whole experience was transformative, and we all left on a high. I can’t wait for Amy and Sam’s next retreat!
Your Retreat Leaders

Amy Erber, MSN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BCÂ
(yellow shirt)
Amy spent much of her young adulthood serving and working in the field of wildlife biology and conservation settings in Maine, Tanzania, Colorado, and the Sierra Nevadas.
She completed her family nurse practitioner (FNP) training at Seattle University and her psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) training at John Hopkins University. In the past 14 years, she has worked in various settings, including Planned Parenthood and an inpatient liver transplant and hepatology service. She has spent most of her time working in inpatient and residential mental health crisis and addiction/rehab settings.Â

Samantha has learned from sacred plant medicines in ceremonial containers for thirteen years. Her journey to become a facilitator began in 2020 while working with an indigenous medicine woman, who has remained a mentor and dear friend.
In addition to this ancestral, earth-based approach to working with medicine, Samantha also graduated from Third Wave’s 6-month Psychedelic Coaching Certification Program, which takes a Western, empirical-scientific approach to understanding and working with medicines. While, personally, Samantha feels most connected to the spiritual side, she is also readily able to explain the scientific research and biological mechanisms around plant medicines and understands the relationship between these plants and Western medical and psychological conditions.Â
